Teddybear

Dwight woke in the middle of the night. He looked over at the sleeping boy next to him and smiled. He was so innocent like this. He brushed his hand over Ethan's cheek, smiling to himself. His eyelashes looked so long resting against his cheek like that. His lips were parted just a little bit, taking soft breaths.  Dwight brushed his lips over Ethan's, sighing softly into his lips. Ethan's hair was mussed, bits falling in his eyes. He looked so calm, like nothing could hurt him.

"Ethan…" Dwight whispered quietly, blowing gently on the sleeping boys neck.

Ethan frowned, mumbling under his breath, swatting at Dwight and giggling. Dwight snickered, doing his best to keep quiet.

"What are you dreaming about?" Dwight grinned, pushing the bangs from Ethan's eyes, "Are you dreaming about Kurt's cookies?"

Ethan grabbed Dwight's hand, clutching it to his chest and murmured incoherently, "Mmm…"

Dwight softly tugged his hand away from Ethan but Ethan's grip simply tightened.

"Baby, let go…I need my hand back…" Ethan pulled Dwight even closer.

Dwight shuffled closer, gently poking Ethan's side, "Let go."

Ethan let go of Dwight just for a moment, instead wrapping his arms around him. "…Teddy bear…" Ethan smiled.

Dwight sighed in defeat. Well now he was well and truly trapped. He rested his head against Ethan's shoulder.

"Hmm…Dwight…" Ethan mumbled, pulling him closer.

Dwight grinned, looking up at Ethan, "What's wrong?"

Ethan smiled, not opening his eyes, "You're so warm…"

"How long have you been awake?" Dwight whispered, brushing his nose against Ethan's cheek.

"Not long." Ethan's eyes fluttered open, his voice deep from sleep, "Why are you awake? Did you have another bad dream?"

"I was just watching you sleep." Dwight whispered into Ethan's cheek, "And that sounds really creepy…"

Ethan chuckled. "It's sweet. Creepy, but sweet." He kissed Dwight chastely.

Dwight smirked at him, "You talk in your sleep sometimes, you know?"

"R-Really? What did I say?" Ethan asked cautiously.

"You said teddy bear…" Dwight grinned, biting his lip, "Should…should I be flattered?"

Ethan blushed, "I…I don't know what you mean."

"Am I your teddy bear now?" Dwight chuckled, wrapping his arms around Ethan's waist.

Ethan whispered into Dwight's lips, "So what if you are?"

Dwight chuckled, "So I am your teddy bear?"

"Well, you're warm," Ethan ran his hand up Dwight's back, "And you're cuddly," He pulled Dwight closer, tightening his hold around him, "So yeah. You're my teddy bear."

"Well, if I'm your teddy bear, that makes you mine."

Ethan pressed a soft kiss to Dwight's lips, brushing his hand over his cheek and bringing him closer, Dwight sighed happily, rubbing soothing  circles into Ethan's back.

Ethan reluctantly pulled away for air, smiling, "I think I can handle that."

"You should sleep." Dwight nipped at Ethan's lip, "It's been a long day. I'm sorry I woke you."

Ethan shook his head, "Mmm no. Don't want to waste a moment."

"You won't. I'll be right here." Dwight smiled.

Ethan thought for a moment, "…Only if you sleep too."

"I promise." He kissed Ethan chastely, "Sleep."

Ethan nodded, resting his head in the crook of Dwight's neck, "I love you…"

"I love you too." Dwight whispered, pressing a kiss to Ethan's head and slowly drifting to sleep.
